
We look forward to welcoming you to Argyle Inn Bed & Breakfast and making your stay in Columbus, Georgia a memorable one. Please read the following inn policies and note our cancellation policy. Rooms are booked by advance reservations only.
Make your reservations early to ensure the accommodation you want is available. You may book online or send us an email inquiry 24 hours a day. You may also call us at 706-221-1215 between 8 AM and 9 PM for more information.
Check-In: Between 3 PM and 7 PM. Late check-in is available by prior arrangement with the innkeeper. Please note your anticipated arrival time when booking so that we may be able to greet you. We are a small lodging property and really appreciate a phone call if you are running late on your scheduled arrival day. Since we are making sure that everything is in order for all our arriving guests, we cannot accommodate early check-ins.
Check-Out: Before 11 AM on the day of departure.
Payment: Cash, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover are acceptable payment options.

Gift Certificates: We only accept our own Argyle Inn gift certificates. Gift certificates are available for purchase in any amount over $25. Please call the inn and we’ll be happy to assist you with a special package for your gift.
Rates: Are for double occupancy, except as specified for the 2-bedroom Drew and Frisco Suites, and do not include applicable State and local taxes. The Americana Room can accommodate a third person for an additional $25 per night. Rates are subject to change without notice. Please ask about Corporate and Extended Stay Rates for single business travelers.
Smoking: For our guests’ enjoyment, we are a smoke-free and tobacco-free inn. There is no smoking inside the Main House or Cottage, or on any of the porches. Smoking is only permitted outside on the patios. There will be a $250 charge to clean any guest accommodation if evidence of smoking is found and you may be asked to leave early.
Candles: Because of the historic nature of our houses, we cannot permit candles in guest rooms or baths. We do have beautiful flameless flickering votive candles which we have provided in all guest rooms & suites.
Children: Children 12 and older are welcome with a parent/legal guardian in the same guest accommodation. In consideration of our other guests, children must be supervised at all times by an adult.
Pets: Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate guests’ pets but we can recommend a kennel nearby. The inn is home to two rescue Cocker Spaniels who live in the owners’ quarters of the main inn and might be seen in their fenced yard, but they are never allowed into guest rooms. If you are allergic, please use your own judgment when making reservations.
Minimum Stay Requirements: There may be a minimum stay requirement for special events or holidays. These will be reflected on our on-line reservation system.
Deposit: Reservations may be confirmed with a one night deposit with a credit card. A 50% deposit is required for stays of 5 nights or longer or whole house bookings. Balance of the reserved stay is due at check-in. The deposit is refundable if cancellations are made at least 72 hours in advance and confirmed by the innkeeper. Group reservations, whole house bookings, extended stay (5 nights or more), and special event reservations require a 14 day notification of cancellation to receive a full refund of the deposit.
Third Party Reservations: When two or more rooms are reserved by one party for friends, family, or co-workers staying at the inn, we will hold the reserved rooms for a period of 48 hours only so that all parties may confirm their individual reservation with pre-payment directly to the inn. Unconfirmed rooms remaining at the end of the 48-hour period will automatically be cancelled.
Cancellations: Cancellations greatly affect us. If you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival, for any reason, you are subject to one night’s room charge if the room cannot be re-booked. If you cancel your reservation less than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival or do not arrive for your reservation as scheduled, you are subject to be charged for the entire stay booked.
Cancellations of group reservations, whole house bookings, extended stays (5 nights or more), and special event reservations must be made at least 14 days prior to check-in to receive a full refund. Any cancellation, partial or full, for group, extended stay, or special event reservations received less than 14 days prior to the check-in date will be charged for the entire stay unless the room(s) is (are) re-booked.
There are no refunds for early departures.
If you list an incorrect email with your reservation or have a spam blocker, you may not receive our email confirmation for your stay or for a cancellation that falls within the cancellation policy.
